Ergonomics II and safety

Ergonomics is the science of designing the job, equipment, and workplace to fit the worker.

There are five aspects of ergonomics: safety, comfort, ease of use, productivity/performance, and aesthetics

  1. Safety: E.g. Medicine bottles — print sizes could be enlarged so those with impaired vision (due to sinus problems, for example) can more easily read the label instructions for the elderly Ergonomics can discover the optimum font style, color and size to enhance readability using the limited space available on a medicine label. We also use plastic instead of glass in case of cutting people.Safety.-http://www.google.com.sg/imglanding?q=medicine%20bottles&imgurl=http://www.unisanet.unisa.edu.au/Resources/nursing-SAMopen/8Rs%2520of%2520SAM/Graphics/medicine-sigma.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.unisanet.unisa.edu.au/Resources/nursing-SAMopen/8Rs%2520of%2520SAM/Right%2520Medicine.htm&usg=__2AB6Q1l6GDWRMw8Js87niJhNH0o=&h=259&w=268&sz=13&hl=en&sig2=U38Fl9w7x1yCuhjwdfTm1g&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=gfbKVS-l1AGxBM:&tbnh=109&tbnw=113&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dmedicine%2Bbottles%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26tbs%3Disch:1&ei=QJhHTOumGo-GvAPx_uW_Ag&um=1&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&tbs=isch:1&start=3#tbnid=gfbKVS-l1AGxBM&start=7
